Our History
Don and I have owned Plainfield Gym since 2006. We also operate Advantage Counseling at two locations, one here in Plainfield and one in Morgan County.
We are parents of two teenage boys; Dorian, 16, and Dillon, turning 15 in February. You will see them around. They both enjoy weightlifting (Not because of us but because of their Mooresville Schools’ Strength Coach.) They do workout with us from time to time and get to see their parents choosing health & fitness daily. Dorian plays varsity Soccer and Track and Dillon plays Football and Baseball. We have 6 very knowledgeable and dedicated staff members that helps us out, but most importantly are dedicated to our Gym members like you!

PERSONAL TRAINING
Our gym is very fortunate to have a great group of members and so many of our members have been with us since the gym first opened. Joining our facility allows an individual to join a very close, tight-knit group of dedicated and loyal members. I believe it is one of many reasons people prefer our facility over others – the quality of our members and the camaraderie they offer. No one will ever feel lost or overwhelmed joining our facility.
We offer personal training services from our qualified staff who are ready and available to demonstrate equipment or formulate a workout at no charge! Our gym sets itself apart in other ways as well. Professional athletes have often utilized our facilities over others due to the diversity of our equipment and plentiful free-weight areas. Professionals from the WWE (and formerly the WWF) have frequented our facility. Our current members include an Arnold Strongman qualifier as well as a former Ms. Olympia. But, you don’t have to be a professional athlete to be part of our membership. I believe our greatest attraction lies in the value of a membership.
A membership includes free tanning and video rental for as low as $18.75/month. We have no hidden fees! We are locally owned and the gym has been in business for more than 10 years. We are not a gym or should I say “fitness” facility that oversells their facilities with high-pressure sales and long-term contracts. Often those “fitness” clubs operate a few years and simply disappear leaving many individuals behind having paid for a membership. Consumers should beware of those tactics and business practices. A visit to our gym will allow anyone to recognize the value.
Our Memberships include the gym, tanning, and current movie rentals.
After your workout be sure to grab a Protein or Energy drink for rehydration!
If you're hanging out at home after your workout, grab a movie and enjoy some "downtime"!
